Deadline: October 31, 2022 

The VLAMO Composition Contest 2022 seeks new wind band compositions for second (grade 2-2.5) and third (grade 1-1.5) division. The composition must be between 6 and 8 minutes, unpublished and never performed. This international competition is open to composers from all countries and of all ages. One 2500 euro prize will be awarded for EACH division.


Deadline: November 1, 2022 

The National Band Association seeks entries that have the opportunity
to enter the core repertoire for fine high school and collegiate bands. Entries should be no longer than 20 minutes in length, and instrumentation should be that which would reasonably be expected to be accessible to strong high school and collegiate bands. The winner will be announced at the NBA General Membership Meeting at The Midwest Clinic in December. An article announcing the winning composition will appear in the National Band Association's NBA Journal. The winning composer will receive a $5,000 cash award.

The Association for Music in International Schools announces the search for a full-time Executive Director to oversee all operations of the Association, to begin on 1 July 2024. The AMIS Executive Director serves as the “face” of AMIS, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Board of Trustees, while providing strategic direction and ensuring the continued high quality of the overall AMIS program.

Salary will be negotiated. Current salary is £69,000 per annum prior to UK taxes, with 3% pension contribution.
